WNF Rapid Review Task Force

The WNF is in the process of completing rapid reviews on a number of naturopathic recommendations for their role in preventing, treating and aiding in the recovery of viral respiratory infections.  The rapid reviews include:

  • N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)
  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin D
  • Zinc
  • Preventive health behaviours
  • Nutritional deficiencies in the elderly
  • Naturopathic therapies that decrease inflammation (IL6)
  • Link between blood sugar and optimal immune response
  • Echinacea (Echinacea spp)
  • Elderberry (Sambucus nigra)
  • Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
  • Ivy Leaf (Hendra helix)
  • Honey
  • Essential Oils (Eucalyptus and Thyme) 
  • Yoga
