The WNF Membership Committee will oversee the activities associated with the growth, management and oversight of the WNF Membership, Non-Profit Partnerships and Corporate Sponsorships. The WNF Policies and Procedures document outlines the steps to be followed for all potential and new members, partners and sponsors and will guide the WNF Membership Committee’s activities.
The Membership Committee will have the following functions:
The membership committee is comprised of the WNF Officers.

President – Caio Fábio Portella, Naturopath, ABRANA (Brazil)
Naturopathic Doctor from Brazil, researcher, educator, and consultant dedicated to advancing Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicines (TCIM). Holds a Doctorate in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and serves as Associate Editor of Cadernos de Naturologia e Terapias Complementares (CNTC). Founder and Director of the Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health (CABSIN), Chair of the Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Working Group, and member of the Brazilian Society of Naturology. Represents ABRANA on the Executive Group of Latin America at the World Naturopathic Federation (WNF). Coordinated a 4,000-hour Naturopathy program in São Paulo for five years.

1st Vice President – Benjamin Dupuis, Naturopath, OMNES (France)
Benjamin DUPUIS is a naturopath (since 2021) and the director of the Organization of Natural Medicine and Health Education (OMNES), the oldest (founded in 1981) and largest professional association of naturopaths in France. As the director of OMNES, he oversees and develops support and professionalization services for established naturopaths who meet the highest national training standards. He works alongside other federations to promote and gain recognition for naturopathy in France, notably by contributing to the drafting of the AFNOR standard for naturopathy. He currently serves as the 2nd Vice President of the World Naturopathic Federation (WNF) and as the representative for Europe.

2nd Vice President – Dr. Madeleine “Abena” Tuson-Turner, ND, MSiMR, MSGH, AANP and NUNM (USA)
Dr. Tuson-Turner is an international lecturer, and a distinguished naturopathic doctor and regenerative medicine specialist based in Oregon, USA. She has worked and lived part-time in Ghana, West Africa since 2009, where she was Medical Director of the first integrative medicine clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tuson-Turner shares her passion for furthering equitable access to Naturopathic Medicine with students through her faculty positions at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) in USA and at the Nyarkotey University College of Holistic Medicine & Technology (NUCHMT) in Ghana.
Dr. Tuson-Turner is deeply committed to advancing the field of naturopathic medicine globally, evident through her roles as a past board member for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), chairperson for the AANP’s Global Health Committee, and co-chair of the Education Committee of the WNF.

Secretary – Jill Dunn, PhD Candidate, MHSc CompMed, BHSc CompMed, Dip Nat, Dip HerbMed, (originally trained as a RGON), ARONAH, NMHNZ (New Zealand)
Jill is a leader in naturopathy development in New Zealand. Initially a registered nurse, her career in naturopathy has been extensive (40+ years) including clinical practice, commercial product development, naturopathy education and research. She has held management positions in multiple CAM education institutions, held Chair roles in multiple government educational advisory groups and is the NZ board member on the Australian Register of Naturopaths and Herbalists (ARONAH). Her research has examined global naturopathy education and regulation, her thesis titled “Mapping the naturopathic landscape: An examination of regulation and education, policy, frameworks and infrastructures in a global emerging profession”.

Ex Officio – WNF CEO – Dr. Iva Lloyd, ND, CAND (Canada)
Dr. Iva Lloyd, ND was the inaugural president of the WNF from 2014 until 2023 and has now transitioned to WNF’s Chief Executive Officer. She has participated in seven WHO Working Groups, the Global Conference for Primary Health Care in Kazakhstan (2018), the CSO Dialogue between the TCIH and the WHO (2023) and the 1st Global Summit on Traditional Medicine in India (2023).
Dr. Lloyd graduated from the CCNM in 2002 and continues to maintain a full-time naturopathic practice. She is Editor-in-Chief of the website www.ndhealthfacts.org as well as a reviewer on a number of journals. She is the author of four books and was lead editor for the Health Technology Assessment on Naturopathy (2021). Dr. Lloyd, ND is a prolific researcher, author and lecturer with over 20 peer-reviewed published articles.
